| These are just a few of the Park's rules &
regulations. For a complete list in detail, please visit the Alaska
State Parks website or contact them by phone at (907) 262-5581
Respect Private Property
If you see a beach or campsite that looks particularly inviting, chances
are it is privately owned. Even if there are no signs. Never assume it
is ok just because it is not posted.
Certain Vehicle Use is Banned
These vehicles are bicycles, all-terrain vehicles and snow vehicles.
Aircraft Landings
Landing is allowed on gravel bars, salt water, and designated lakes
except for practice landings. Permits are required for other landing
sites. Helicopters may not land without a permit.
Soliciting of Any Kind
Strictly prohibited without a permit
Fireworks and Explosives
Are strictly prohibited
Unattended Equipment
Equipment left for three or more days may be impounded unless prior
arrangements are made with a Ranger.
Campfires
Permitted only on unvegetated beaches and gravel bars, in metal fire
rings provided, or use a portable stove. Fire danger is always high due
to dead beetle-kill trees. As always, leave nothing behind
when you leave.
Groups of 20 or More
Any activity or assembly of 20 or more persons requires a permit.
Bringing your Pet
Please keep your pet leashed at all times. This includes trailheads and
public facilities. They can attract bears and disturb other wildlife.
